IPL 2020: 5 stars who have played least number of games since last season

The action-packed tournament will also see several of the cricketers return to their comfort zone. It will be a kind of new start for some of them, as they have not been playing the game for a long time.

It is wonderful to see that Sunil Narine is still outfoxing a lot of batsmen with his mystique. Since his debut, the Caribbean spinner has been one of the top-most cricketers in the T20 format. He has been weaving his magic in several T20 leagues around the world. Even in the IPL, he has been the pivot of the Kolkata’s bowling attack.

Such has been his impact that his bowling credentials have paved the way for multiple championships for Kolkata Knight Riders. In the 2019 IPL also, he turned out to be their second-leading wicket-taker in the tournament. Although he accounted for only 10 wickets, Narine made sure that the opposition never ran away with the game. His economy rate of 7.8 proves the point.

However, things might be more difficult for him in the IPL 2020. He has been inactive for the most part of the last 12 months. He missed the 2019 World Cup owing to a finger injury. Thereafter, he did play the T20I series against India but wasn’t at his best. Then his finger problem again resurfaced in the 2019 CPL, and he only made his return a month ago in the 2020 CPL. In all, he has played a total of 14 games after his 2019 IPL stint.
