After winning the first two matches of the tournament, Rajasthan Royals find themselves under serious trouble with three consecutive defeats. Both of their successful outings came at Sharjah only and since moving out of there, RR hasn’t found the right balance. The good news for them is that the next match is Sharjah itself and this could be the chance for them get back on the winning track.

RR vs DC is going to be a mouth-watering content as DC is in amazing form and coming back to Sharjah will add the much-needed confidence in RR. Rajasthan would like to improve their bowling line-up for this game and death bowling will be their main focus. As the conditions in Sharjah are batting friendly, they can consider playing an extra bowler in this game.

Here’s the Predicted XI of Rajasthan Royals for RR vs DC:

Openers (Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal)

Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the most exciting youngsters of Indian domestic circuit. However, he is yet to deliver with the bat in IPL 2020. The teenager would finally like to score runs after two dismal excursions as an opener. Jos Buttler was their most attacking batsman and the only batsman to score runs in the last game. His responsibility will be to score runs freely at the top so that there is no pressure on the rest of the batting unit.

Middle Overs (Steve Smith, Sanju Samson and Mahipal Lomror)

The story of IPL 2020 is quite similar for Steve Smith and Sanju Samson, both of them slammed amazing fifties in the first two games but failed to replicate the performance since moving out of Sharjah. As the next match is there only, both Smith and Samson would like to bring back their lost touch. Smith would like to play as an anchor, which is his natural game.

Samson’s role will be to play an attacking inning with Smith playing along with him He has shown in past that he has the ability to play long innings while maintaining a decent scoring rate. Mahipal Lomror is the only recognized batsman apart from their star-studded top order and his role will be to provide stability to the innings if needed.

All-rounders (Rahul Tewatia and Jofra Archer)

The last time Rahul Tewatia played at Sharjah, he grabbed the headlines with his five sixes in a single over of Sheldon Cottrell. He would like to play a similar knock in RR vs DC encounter while contributing with the ball as well to prove that he is not a one-match wonder. Jofra Archer has been there most successful bowler and his handy blitz in the lower order can also be useful for the team.

Bowlers (Andrew Tye, Shreyas Gopal, Varun Aaron and Kartik Tyagi)

Mumbai Indians dominated RR in their last encounter by scoring 68 runs in the last five overs. Thus, Royals can go for Andrew Tye, a white ball specialist bowler who can be a reliable option at the death and Varun Aaron can also be added to the line-up as his erratic pace might trouble the opposition batsmen. Tom Curran and Ankit Rajpoot are expected to make way for them in the team.

Kartik Tyagi had an impressive debut against Mumbai. He dismissed Quinton de Kock and his run-up was compared to Brett Lee. Thus, he can be trusted to continue his decent performance. Shreyas Gopal is their lead spinner and should maintain his place as he is their go-to bowler in the middle overs.
