Royal Challengers Bangalore have won three of their five games till now in IPL 2020. Their team is looking more balanced and with a positive start, they are looking quite confident. However, the loss against Delhi Capitals (DC) would have brought some questions, as the team failed in all the departments.

RCB bowled well in patches but their effort lacked consistency in the previous match. Also, their fielding hasn’t been up to the standards in the entire tournament. However, this loss could work as a wake-up call for RCB and as their skipper emphasised after the last game that they would be expected to improve their fielding standards.

RCB will be facing CSK in their next encounter on Saturday, October 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Considering the form the Yellow Army are going through, Bangalore can be deemed as the favourites.

Here is the Predicted Playing XI of Royal Challengers Bangalore for CSK vs RCB game:

Openers (Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal)

This opening pair has done well for RCB this season. The left-right combination is advantageous and both of them have complemented each other. Aaron Finch’s role is to utilize the powerplay with his attacking game upfront and Padikkal, on the other hand, would be expected to give himself some time in the beginning and a play longer innings in the CSK vs RCB clash, like he has been doing.

Middle-order (Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Shivam Dube)

Virat Kohli is back in form and looked in good touch in the last two games. However, the skipper won’t be happy with the fact that he was not able to take his team over the line against DC. He will play the role of a sheet-anchor yet again and would be expected to bat till the end.

AB de Villiers is in great touch this season. He has already scored two excellent fifties and would be expected to play more match-winning knocks. Shivam Dube would be playing more as a middle-order power hitter than an all-rounder. His role will be to hit the big shots at the end and if required, to provide stability to the batting-order. He can also be promoted in this game considering the type of spinners CSK have.

All-rounders (Chris Morris and Washington Sundar)

Chris Morris’ return has been highly anticipated as he is expected to provide that final touch of balance to RCB’s side. He will be expected to bowl at the death and to hit some big shots at the end if required. Morris is expected to replace Moeen Ali in this game. Washington Sundar’s off-spin is quite effective in the initial overs and he has been quite economical in the last three games.

Bowlers (Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj)

Yuzvendra Chahal is the leading wicket-taker of RCB and he is right at the top in the race for the Purple Cap race as well. Also, as CSK’s batsmen have struggled against spin in this season, Chahal’s role will become more important. Mohammed Siraj played his first game of the season against DC and he bowled quite well. The pacer would like to continue the same.

Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana have also impressed everyone with their excellent death bowling and ability to pick early wickets. However, Saini wasn’t in good touch in the last game and he would like to make a better impact in this contest.

With as much as seven options, RCB’s bowling unit look quite an effective one and should provide them with the much-needed balance in the encounter along with their star-studded batting line up.
