Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) went through quite a few jitters in their match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, the team, led by Virat Kohli, held their nerve and beat their opponent by seven wickets.

With the triumph, RCB won their sixth match and tightened their grip on the third spot in the table of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). After winning the toss, the Royals notched 177 on the board courtesy Robin Uthappa’s 41 and Steve Smith’s impressive 36-ball 57.

While defending the score, their bowlers put a lid on the run-scoring for quite a while. Nevertheless, the Challengers’ batters came back strong and overhauled the target with two balls to spare. Meanwhile, the Royals keep languishing at seventh in the points table.

Here are the RCB Player Ratings for the RR vs RCB match: –

Devdutt Padikkal- 6.5/10

Devdutt Padikkal found it tough to time the leather. The left-hander played until the 13th over, but could never press the accelerator. In 37 balls, the southpaw scored 35 runs with a couple of fours.

Aaron Finch- 4.5/10

Aaron Finch promised earlier on, smashing Jofra Archer for a couple of sixes. But he became Shreyas Gopal’s first victim. He was the first RCB wicket to go down as he managed 14 runs off 11 deliveries.

Virat Kohli- 8/10

Virat Kohli came to bat after Finch’s early wicket and he was in with a massive task. The RCB skipper got 43 runs off 32 balls with one four and two sixes. Kartik Tyagi cut short his stay in the middle.

AB de Villiers- 9.5/10

AB de Villiers came to bat in the 14th over and he started in a cautious manner. But with RCB needing 35 runs off the last two overs, he smashed 55 off 22 balls with one four and six sixes.

Gurkeerat Singh- 7/10

Gurkeerat Singh strained a wee bit, especially playing quite a few dots off Jaydev Unadkat. However, he held his nerve and hit the bowler for a four later. He stayed unbeaten on 19 runs off 17 deliveries.

Chris Morris- 9.5/10

Chris Morris was on top of his game with the ball in hand. The speedster dismissed Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, and Archer to put pressure on the RR batting. He gave away 26 runs in four overs.

Washington Sundar- 6.5/10

Washington Sundar bowled economically in the first over, but in his second, Robin Uthappa hit him for quite a few fours. In his three overs, the off-break bowler gave 25 runs and didn’t get a wicket.

Shahbaz Ahmed- 5/10

Shahbaz Ahmed played his first game of the ongoing IPL, and he was reasonable. In the two overs he bowled, he gave away 18 runs. He also took an excellent catch to send Smith back to the pavilion.

Isuru Udana- 1/10

Isuru Udana had a rough day with the ball in hand. The Sri Lankan pacer leaked 43 runs at an economy of 14.33. He gave five fours and two sixes and wasn’t entrusted to complete four overs.

Navdeep Saini- 7/10

Navdeep Saini bowled with fire and gave away only 30 runs in his quota of four overs. However, he didn’t get a wicket. The speedster conceded only three fours and was pretty much on his mark.

Yuzvendra Chahal- 8.5/10

Yuzvendra Chahal was expensive in the last over he bowled. But apart from that, he wasn’t disappointing by any means. The leg-spinner picked up Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson’s wickets.
