The 53rd match of the Indian Premier League will take place between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. Though CSK are out from the race of playoffs for the IPL 2020 season, they would still want to finish their campaign on a winning note.

The three-time champions are out of the playoffs for the first time, and they had quite struggling times right from the very starting in UAE. However, they have two victories in a row and are still looking competitive enough. As skipper MS Dhoni said, even if they are out of the tournament, they do not want to be irrelevant in the game.

This shows a lot about the strength of mindset they will be carrying in their next game. On the other hand, it would be the game of prime importance for Punjab to seal their playoffs berth.

Here is the Predicted Playing XI for the Chennai Super Kings for CSK vs KXIP game:

Openers (Shane Watson and Ruturaj Gaikwad)

Watson opened the batting for the last time with young Ruturaj Gaikwad and could not contribute much in the game. He went off too early but can be expected to show his best game in the last match of the CSK in this year’s IPL. He hasn’t been at his very best in this season.

Gaikwad has been no less than magic for CSK in the last two games. He has bagged the Player of the Match award two times in a row and is much likely to open for the team in the next game. The young star is expected to even carry forward the legacy of CSK in times to come.

Middle Order (Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, and N Jagadeesan)

Rayudu continued his aggressive form in the last games and played the perfect cameo in the match against KKR. He produced 38 off 20 to push forward the team in their chase. He would again come in his best element in CSK’s last game of the season.

In the same manner, another young talented player N Jagadeesan would join them to strengthen the middle order of the Yellow Army. MS Dhoni’s form with the bat is already under a lot of criticism, and match after match, it has only piled up.

Millions of fans waited for their skipper to give a glimpse of his best innings, but it didn’t happen to date. The fans would even wait in the last game of CSK to see their skipper shine and lead the time in the best manner.

All-rounder (Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja)

Sam Curran has carried the weight of the team even single-handedly in a game when the entire order failed. He has just been the perfect find of the season for CSK.

With his great batting and bowling skills, he would find the place not just in this match but in several years ahead with the squad of the Yellow Army. If there is one man who is flaunting next level class for CSK, it is no other than Sir Jadeja.

He has just been phenomenal with his all-round action on the field, and especially with the bat, he has stunned all with his shots. His winning six in the last game on the last ball just showed the amount of courage he keeps while handling the crunch situations.

Bowlers (Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Karn Sharma, and Mitchell Santner)

Chahar and Ngidi handled the pace section of CSK’s unit well. Though in the rare instance, Chahar went wicketless in the last game and was much expensive for the team, Ngidi filled the gap with all the perfection.

He picked two wickets with a decent average to push his team with all the will. Karn Sharma and Mitchell Santner took the charge of spin attack for CSK in the last game.

Though Santner was quite expensive, he might get the chance again if wickets have started turning now. In the same manner, Sharma, who took one wicket in the last game, is likely to remain with the team.
