The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin in the month of September. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, this edition of the tournament was delayed and will be conducted in the United Arab Emirates. The teams have already begun their journey to the Middle East nation for the tournament.
The players, as well as the support staff of all the teams, are supposed to remain in bio-secure bubbles throughout the duration of the league. Matches will be played in three venues namely Dubai, Sharjah and the capital Abu Dhabi. Consequently, the teams will be staying in hotels situated in these cities only.
Every team is currently living in a separate hotel where the players and other staff members are undergoing 7-day quarantine before they gear up to prepare for the tourney. During their quarantine, players will be tested on 1st, 3rd and 6th day. Apart from these players, squad members from England and Australia are supposed to arrive on September 17th and are expected to participate in the tournament right away.
