The Kings XI Punjab are set to lock horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second leg of the delayed edition of the IPL and a cracker of a game is expected to unfold in the batsmen’s paradise Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. With the Kings expected to make a comeback after an abysmal start losing 6 out of seven matches, the disappointed fans seem to be craving hard to get the team back on the winning track.
The captain KL Rahul has been in a tremendous form of late with 387 runs featuring at the helm in the top run-scorers in the current edition of the IPL. However, his efforts have gone in vain as he could not steer the team in the direction of triumph. Eventually, to turn the tide in their favor, the team management must be twiddling their fingers to plug the dampened holes in the team’s ship.

Meanwhile, the former KXIP mentor, Virender Sehwag has urged the Punjab management to rope in the self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ Christopher Henry Gayle in the playing XI. The Caribbean superstar is yet to step into the cricketing field donning the glittering red jersey this season. Although, reports suggest that the Caribbean stalwart was suffering from an unspecified illness for which he also had to be hospitalized.
“News is that Chris Gayle is back after chilling in the hospital. The youngsters weren’t able to make a dent, now bring Gayle on,” Sehwag said on his YouTube show ‘Viru ki Baithak.’ In the latest spur of developments, the top-order decimator has recovered completely and is waiting for the call to showcase a power-packed knock that he is known for.
“Note that Gayle’s record against Bangalore is impeccable. An average of 54, and his strike rate is known to all bowlers. So let Gayle open with the Serious Man Mayank (Agarwal), and KL can come in at No.3 to maintain the balance of the team,” Sehwag added.
It goes without saying that the two exorbitant sides will set the cricketing field on fire as the match will feature the likes of AB de Villers and Virat Kohli who appear to be oozing with confidence after spectacular back-to-back wins. While the former scored unbeaten 33 on a treacherous pitch, the latter hammered 82 not-out flaunting a ‘super-human’ label rendered by the Indian tycoon Virat Kohli.
