Kieron Pollard and Mumbai Indians are two inseparable words when it comes to the IPL. The West Indian all-rounder had arrived in the Mumbai Indians lineup after his exploits in the Champions League T20 in 2009. And it didn’t take a lot of time for him to find his favourite spot down the order in the Mumbai Indians batting unit.

He became an invaluable part of the core of the MI’s squad. One of the reasons why Mumbai have stuck with the destructive batsman through his good and bad times is because of his ability to change matches at will. He is someone who can create havoc with the bat and blow apart an opposition’s bowling unit.

In 164 matches so far in the IPL, he has scored 3023 runs at an average of 29.93. His strike rate has been 149.87, which gives an idea of the destruction he has caused for the Mumbai Indians. His addition to the lower order has also the top order of Mumbai to bat freely during the initial stage of an innings.
