IPL 2021: A fan asks Imran Tahir when will he get a chance to play for CSK; Bowler responds

Imran Tahir has been a part of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise since the 2018 edition of the IPL.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spinner Imran Tahir has not managed to find a spot in all the 3 matches that the MS Dhoni-led side has played in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) thus far. And, one cricket fan took to Twitter to ask Tahir regarding the same.

A fan, who goes by the name Prakash asked Tahir as to when he will be seen in the playing XI for the CSK side. And for that, Tahir has given a wonderful reply.

Tahir stated in his tweet that the best players are already on the field and are delivering for the team. Stating that he was extremely proud of being a part of the CSK side, Tahir concluded his tweet by stating that he will surely give his best when his services are needed.

“Thank you, sir. Best players are in the field and they are delivering and they should continue for the team’s benefit. It’s not about me. It’s about the team. I am extremely proud to be a part of this wonderful team. If I am needed some time I will give my best for the team,” tweeted Tahir.

Imran Tahir has been a part of CSK since IPL 2018

Imran Tahir has been a part of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise since the 2018 edition of the IPL. He has played a total of 58 matches in his IPL career and has picked up 80 wickets at an excellent strike rate of 16.15.

For the Chennai outfit, the South African bowler has featured in 26 matches and has scalped 33 wickets. Tahir was a part of the victorious Chennai side that won the IPL title in the year 2018.

As far as the CSK side is concerned, they have experienced a very good start to their 2021 IPL campaign. After a loss in their opening encounter of IPL 2021 against the Delhi Capitals (DC), the ‘Yellow Brigade’ has managed to put up two consecutive victories on the trot.

Tahir last played for Chennai in an IPL match on 1st November 2020 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He did a tidy job with the ball, giving away 24 runs in his 4 overs, and also picked up the wicket of Chris Gayle.
