IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra picks his ideal playing XIs for DC vs KKR match

The second Qualifier of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). And, ahead of this crucial clash, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra has picked his ideal playing XIs of both sides for this contest.

Chopra stated that both the Delhi Capitals (DC) openers have scored runs and got the team off to good starts. Chopra feels that Prithvi Shaw might find it difficult to score runs in Sharjah against the KKR side.

Chopra also added that nobody knows the exact status of Marcus Stoinis’ injury and whether the Australian is available for this clash. The 43-year-old feels that Delhi should drop Tom Curran for the clash against KKR, and either Marcus Stoinis or Ripal Patel should replace him.

Chopra feels that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are doing a wonderful job, and different players have stepped up at different times for the Eoin Morgan-led side. Chopra added that KKR skipper Eoin Morgan has not scored runs with the willow, but has led the side well.

Chopra also opined that it is wonderful to see the KKR side being run on performances of Indian players like Venkatesh Iyer, Shubman Gill, Varun Chakravarthy, and Shivam Mavi. Chopra also added that KKR might think of providing an opportunity to Prasidh Krishna in the playing XI.

The Delhi Capitals went down to the Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1 by 4 wickets, while the Kolkata Knight Riders beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore side with 4 wickets and 2 balls to spare in the Eliminator.
