IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra picks his ideal playing XIs for SRH vs RR match

Match No.40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side locking horns with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) outfit. And, ahead of the contest between Sanju Samson’s men and Kane Williamson’s men, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked his playing XIs for both sides on his YouTube channel.

As far as the SRH side is concerned, Chopra reckoned that he would still want to give David Warner another opportunity at the top of the order, but reckoned that Shreevats Goswami should replace Wriddhiman Saha in the side.

Chopra is also not happy with the way the likes of Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav performed with the willow against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). The 43-year-old added that Priyam Garg should replace Pandey in the side, while Abhishek Sharma should take the place of Kedar Jadhav in the playing XI. Other than that, the rest of the SRH lineup remains the same.

Aakash Chopra feels that Evin Lewis should make a comeback into the RR playing XI for the clash against SRH and replace David Miller. Chopra also added that Chris Morris should return to the side and take the place of Tabraiz Shamsi.

The other change that Chopra wants the ‘Men in Pink’ to make is, he wants Shivam Dube to get a chance in the playing XI, as Dube can contribute with both bat and ball. Chopra feels that Dube should replace Riyan Parag in the side.

Both Hyderabad and Rajasthan are placed at the bottom half of the IPL points table. While the Rajasthan side is placed at the 6th place in the points table, the ‘Orange Army’ is occupying the last spot.
