IPL 2021: David Warner's personalized shoes portray him as a perfect family man

The current edition of the Indian Premier League is moving up during the dire situations in India. While there is a sense of fear and panic everywhere around, people are keeping themselves sane with different things. Cricketers in the IPL bubble are also trying to carry themselves by maintaining their calm. In the same light, a gesture by SRH skipper David Warner bagged too much attention on social media.

Warner was seen wearing customized shoes in the latest match of IPL. While Warner walked up on the field, his white sneakers displayed the names of his family members. While the front part showed the name of his wife, Candice as ‘Candy’, the back portion had the names of his three daughters- Ivy, Indi, and Isla.

It has been stated that Warner took the idea from football star David Beckham who flaunted this style 10 years back. Beckham sported the name of his children on his shoe while his daughterHarper was born and he was playing for L.A. Galaxy.

While the Australian star made sure to remember his family while playing IPL in India, his wife Candice took to her Instagram story to pour some love on this gesture. She posted the picture of Warner’s shoes while writing- “No matter where in the world you are darling we are always with you.”

Talking on the professional front, Warner is enduring some hard times in IPL 2021. Hyderabad has been languishing at the bottom of the points table with only one victory in their last six games. Their last game came up against Chennai Super Kings where they saw the face of the defeat yet again by seven wickets. Though Warner scored well for his team in the same game, he was clearly seen struggling with the bat to get his usual rhythm.

He smashed 57 runs off 55 deliveries and was well accompanied by Manish Pandey. However, CSK batters made sure that they get over the line comfortably while nine balls of the game remained.
