The second leg of the IPL is all set to resume in the UAE from September 19. Ahead of the start of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis has hinted at his return to the team for the remainder of the IPL 2021. The Proteas batter has been an exceptional player for CSK and the hint of his availability comes as a great sigh of relief for the franchise and its fans.

Faf du Plessis had suffered a concussion during the Pakistan Super League in June. Owing to the injury, he had been ruled out of the tournament and stayed away from the cricketing action for three months. Du Plessis did not feature in The Hundred as well where he was to lead the Northern Superchargers. However, as per the recent social media post of the CSK franchise, the batter is recovering well from the injury and is almost at the end of recovery.

“I didn’t expect it to take this long and I also didn’t expect it to be quite as severe. But I feel like I am at the end of it, which really is pleasing for myself,” CSK’s recent post on social media read. They captioned the post as: “Du Pleasing for us to hear 💛Cu So😍n #WhistlePodu #Yellove,” The post on Twitter fetched many replies as the fans of CSK seemed to be happy about it.
