Rajasthan Royals pulled off a heist against Punjab Kings in their first assignment of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021’s UAE leg. Chasing 186 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Punjab-based side looked in command for the major part. Openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal added 120 runs for the first wicket before passing on the baton to the middle order.

While PBKS’ win looked inevitable at this point, some sensational death bowling turned the tables in Rajasthan’s favour. Defending a paltry four runs in the final over, young pacer Kartik Tyagi conceded a solitary run as RR walked away with an unbelievable two-run triumph. Needless to mention, the RR camp was jubilated with the jailbreak and the same was evident in their celebration.

The celebration continued in the dressing room after the conclusion of the game. In a video posted by Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter handle, RR players were captured candidly after the game. The clip also showed young pacers Kartik Tyagi and Chetan Sakariya dancing without their shirts on.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was also enjoying alongside the two performers, although he had his jersey on. “Straight from a happy dressing room. #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | #IPL2021,” wrote RR while sharing the snap on social media.

With RR pulling off a jailbreak, Kumar Sangakkara had some words of advice for the cricketers. “There is nothing in life that says that someone deserves something or doesn’t. If that was the case, we won’t be here today in this mood. But a win is a win. And you know as well as anyone that we’ll take that,” the former Sri Lankan captain said in the clip.

I knew I have the death-overs skills: Kartik Tyagi

As mentioned above, Kartik was the stand-out performer for RR. After being named the Player of the Match, the 20-year-old said he trusted his abilities to make the ball talk in the end overs.

“I’ve always heard from everyone and also watched games in this format where strange things have happened. Today, I was fortunate to play a big role in something special. I was bowling a bit too short earlier, later worked on it consciously after getting a lot of feedback. I knew I have the death-overs skills,” the speedster said after the game.
