Delhi Capitals (DC), on Tuesday, ended their five-match losing streak against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). Rishabh Pant and Co won the low-scoring encounter by six wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

With the victory, the Capitals moved to second in the points table with a net run rate of 0.426 even as MI stayed in the middle of the table. After electing to bat first, Mumbai made a decent start on the back of Rohit Sharma’s 44 and a 15-ball 24 from Suryakumar Yadav.

But they suffered a batting collapse and ended with 137 runs in 20 overs. In the run-chase, the Capitals held their nerve and picked up singles and doubles on a regular basis. Though the game went down to the last over, the Capitals chased 138 with five balls to spare.
