Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have managed to cease their four-match losing streak in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). On Monday, April 26, the Eoin Morgan-led unit beat the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by five wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With the win, the Men in Gold and Purple went up to fifth in the points table after staying at the bottom for a brief while. After electing to field first, the Knights restricted the Kings to a mere 123 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

For PBKS, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan scored in the 30s, but they didn’t get much support from the others. In the run-chase, KKR lost three early wickets but didn’t let any pressure to build.
