Sunrisers Hyderabad are still waiting for their first victory of the season in IPL 2021. They were defeated by Mumbai Indians by 13 runs in their third match. SRH earlier lost their first two games against KKR and RCB. MI captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in this match.

Mumbai posted a total of 150/5 with the help of fine knocks from Kieron Pollard and Quinton de Kock. Vijay Shankar picked up 2 wickets for 19 runs in his 2 overs. Chasing this total, Jonny Bairstow gave a flying start to his team slamming 43 runs off only 24 balls.

After the wicket of Bairstow, SRH kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were dismissed for 137 runs in 19.4 overs thus losing the game by 13 runs. Rahul Chahar turned the game for MI in the second consecutive match as he took 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs.

4000– Rohit Sharma completed 4000 T20 runs as a captain during his innings. He became the fourth Indian after Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir to reach the milestone.

217 – Rohit Sharma smashed 2 sixes in his innings taking his IPL sixes tally to 217, and surpassed MS Dhoni (216) to become the top six-hitter among Indian players in the tournament.

92– Kieron Pollard took his 92nd catch as an MI fielder in IPL. He surpassed Suresh Raina (91 catches for CSK) in this regard to take most catches for one IPL team.

201– Pollard also completed 200 IPL sixes with 3 maximums in his innings, and joined Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers among overseas players in 200-club of IPL sixes. He has smacked 201 sixes in 150 innings so far.

13 – Jonny Bairstow got dismissed with a hit wicket in this game. This was the 13th time a player got out in this fashion in IPL.

2000 – Quinton de Kock completed his 2000 IPL runs with a 40-run knock. He became the fifth player from South Africa to achieve this milestone in the league. Before him, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis, Jacques Kallis and JP Duminy have reached this landmark.
