IPL 2021: Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi join SRH, currently in quarantine

A source revealed that the SRH management will take care of the families of both players at all times.

Afghanistan cricketing stalwarts, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi have joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp for the second half of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that will commence on 19th September 2021.

And, a source stated that both Rashid and Nabi have reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and are currently in quarantine. The source added that the SRH management will take care of the families of both players at all times.

The source further revealed that the SRH management will also make sure that both players are in the best frame of mind ahead of the marquee tournament as well.

“They are very much in UAE and undergoing quarantine. They are not just professionals, they are family and the team will take complete care of them not just during the tournament but at all times. The management will ensure they are in the best frame of mind and perform to the best of their ability,” said a source according to Latestly.

The players coming from the CPL bubble will undergo two days of isolation

Also, it has been stated that the players who will be coming to the UAE to join their respective teams after participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as well as the series between Sri Lanka and South Africa will be in isolation for two days. The source further added that once the players get tested and the results are out, they can join their respective squads.

“The players coming in from the bubbles in CPL and from the SA-SL series will undergo two days of isolation. They will come in and go into their rooms on the first day, they will then get tested the next day and once the results come in, they will join the squad members in the bubble,” added the source.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will face off in the first match of the second leg of IPL 2021. The Delhi Capitals are currently placed at the top of the IPL points table, having won 6 out of the 8 matches that they contested in during the first leg of the IPL.
