Rishabh Pant has a point to prove in the second Qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Having narrowly lost Qualifier 1 by four wickets, DC must be gutted and would like to redeem themselves by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the knock-out clash. With stakes being so high in the contest, being cool and calm is a massive challenge for players.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Rishabh Pant. The DC skipper ahead of the game was in a goofy mood ahead of the game as he pranked umpire Anil Chaudhary. Apparently, Chaudhary held a box of balls in hand while Ashwin was checking them. Pant, who came from the back, tickled Anil on the right side of his waist and by the time the umpire could look back, the DC cricketer was on the left side.

Rishabh Pant leaves umpire Anil Chaudhary amazed

Chaudhary looked astonished for a second as he couldn’t figure out who touched him. However, it seems like Pant then told the official that it was his antics. The wicketkeeper’s act got viral in no time as fans were left in splits.

Meanwhile, Pant would be raring to shine against KKR as a defeat here would see DC’s end in IPL end. In the high-voltage clash, the coin landed in Kolkata’s favour, and Eoin Morgan unsurprisingly elected to bowl at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. DC openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw embraced the challenge brilliantly and played some delightful shots all over the park.

However, the scoring rate went down after Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Shaw for 17. Comeback man Marcus Stoinis, who was sent in at number three, couldn’t do much either and went back after scoring 18 runs. DC would now be targeting to post a respectable total as the track has a lot to offer for the bowlers.

More, Delhi’s bowling attack is studded with the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Avesh Khan. On the other hand, KKR’s initial target would be restricting Delhi to a minimal total. If that happens, the likes of Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, and Venkatesh Iyer would give DC bowlers a hard time.
