IPL 2021: Wasim Jaffer tweets an anagram to name his players to watch out for in KKR vs MI clash

Former Indian batsman and batting coach of the IPL franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS), Wasim Jaffer has made a special place for himself in the heart of all the cricket fans with his wit and humor on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Jaffer is quite active on Twitter and keeps the fans entertained by sharing hilarious memes regarding the matches or the cricketers.

Ever since the commencement of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), before every game the veteran names the players to watch out for from both teams. However, instead of revealing the names of the two players straightway, he shares a meme or coded message on his official Twitter handle and asks the fans to guess the players.

Something similar happened on April 13 too as this time around, Jaffer tweeted an anagram and assigned the fans the task of decoding the names of the players who are expected to stand out in today’s game. Jaffer took to Twitter to post a picture along with the caption, “Players to watch out for tonight: ah mint and anger nomoi,”

Notably, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns against each other in the fifth game of the ongoing T20 Extravaganza. The cricket enthusiasts didn’t take much time in decoding the message. Wasim Jaffer believes that the skippers of both the team will lead from the front and will be the players to watch out for.

The 43-year-old just played with the letters this time as he reshuffled the name of both the captains. Ah mint refers to Hitman, the name given to Rohit Sharma by the fans. Anger nomoi, on the other hand, stands for KKR skipper Eoin Morgan.

However, Wasim Jaffer was left disappointed after seeing the fans guessing the anagram in less than two minutes as he came up with another tweet saying that he will have to increase the level of difficulty from the next time.

Interestingly, both Rohit and Morgan failed to perform in their first game of IPL 2021. While Hitman could score only 19 runs, Morgan also had a disastrous outing as he marched back to the pavilion after scoring just 2 runs off 3 balls. Both KKR and MI have had contrasting fortunes in IPL 2021 thus far. While MI lost their opening game against RCB by 2 wickets, KKR emerged victorious in the game against SRH by 10 runs to collect two points.
