Karn Sharma was bought by RCB in the mega auction of IPL 2022 at his base price of INR 50 lakh. However. the leg-spinner couldn’t get a chance in playing XI throughout the season. RCB decided to go with young Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga during their whole campaign. So it was quite hard to adjust Sharma into the bowling combination of the team.

So, RCB may release him to free up their purse and get any other player. Karn might also get a better opportunity if any of the teams, who require a leg spinner, buys him in the mini-auction of IPL 2023.

To note, Sharma has his last IPL match in 2020 for Chennai Super Kings against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Since then the spinner has been warming the benches.
