Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians will play the 14th match of IPL 2022 on Wednesday. It will be the fourth game for KKR in the tournament. They defeated Punjab Kings in the previous match by 6 wickets after chasing a target of 138 runs in just 14.3 overs. KKR’s batters have failed to play an attacking form of cricket in the first three matches. It is one of the reasons they lost the second game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Most of the batters are yet to play a fiery knock and they might try to solve this issue in this game.

Mumbai Indians are yet to win a match in the tournament. After suffering two back-to-back losses, the franchise would be hoping for a miracle. They have a lot of gaps to fill and might need a few more games to get the right balance. Apart from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma, no other batter has been able to provide the right kind of momentum to the team. In the bowling department, MI is lacking an experienced spinner. Also, there is no one to support Jasprit Bumrah and that is one of the reasons the team has leaked runs in both the previous games. The addition of Suryakumar Yadav might solve some issues in the batting department for them.

Here are 3 players you can avoid in your fantasy teams for the KKR vs MI game:

1. Anmolpreet Singh

Anmolpreet Singh is yet to make a double digit-score for MI in the tournament. He has faced 13 deliveries in the two matches and has managed to score 13 runs, including a four. MI might include Suryakumar Yadav in the playing 11 for this game and if that happens, Anmolpreet Singh is most likely to sit out. Hence, you can avoid him in your fantasy team for this game.

2. Daniel Sams

Daniel Sams is an experienced all-rounder who has played over 70 T20 matches. He has performed consistently well in the Big Bash League but has failed to repeat the same in the Indian Premier League. Sams is yet to pick a wicket in the tournament. In the first game against Delhi Capitals, he gave away 57 runs in four overs. In the second match, Rajasthan Royals’ batters gathered 32 runs from his four overs. You can look at some of the other bowlers that both teams have and avoid Sams for this match.

3. Tim Southee

Tim Southee has been bowling really well for KKR both in the powerplay and the death overs. He has managed to pick 5 wickets in three matches at an average of 11.20, an economy of 7, and a strike rate of 9.6. Southee has not done anything wrong in these three matches but he might get dropped in this game. KKR might want to have Pat Cummins in the playing 11 and Southee is the only player whom he can replace. Hence, it becomes obvious that you should avoid Southee in your fantasy team.
