Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals are going to play the fifth match of the Indian Premier League 2022 on Tuesday. Both the teams didn’t have a great performance last year as they finished in the bottom two positions in the points tally. Rajasthan won 5 out of 14 games and finished in the 7th position. Hyderabad managed to win only three matches and were placed last.

They both had a decent time at the auction table and managed to pick some of the biggest names in world cricket. Sanju Samson would lead Rajasthan this year as well, while the Hyderabad franchise has picked Kane Williamson as their captain. Along with Williamson, Hyderabad also went ahead with Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, and Marco Jansen. These four players are likely to fill the overseas quota for the team. Rajasthan will have to do a lot of work in deciding their opening combination. They retained Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal before the start of the 2022 auction. Rajasthan also have former RCB opener Devdutt Padikkal in their squad. It would be interesting to see who would open the innings for Rajasthan in this game.

Here are 3 players you can avoid in your fantasy teams for the SRH vs RR game:

1. Marco Jansen

SRH had to fight a tough battle against Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals to pick the services of South African all-rounder Marco Jansen. The Jaipur-based franchise had to shell out INR 4.2 crores to get Jansen in their squad. Jansen made his Test debut against India last year and went on to impress the cricketing fraternity with his bowling. Based on these performances, he made his ODI debut against India and did a decent job. He is yet to play a T20I for South Africa. Both the teams have a lot of pacers and you can avoid Jansen for this game.

2. Rassie van der Dussen

Rajasthan Royals purchased Rassie van der Dussen for INR 1 crore. He has played 140 T20 matches and has scored over 4000 runs at an average of 38.23 and a strike rate of 130.17. Van der Dussen has hit three centuries and 28 half-centuries in the shortest format of the game. Rajasthan have a lot of overseas players who can play a crucial role in the middle order, including captain Williamson and Shimron Hetmyer. It would be better to avoid van der Dussen and pick someone who bats in the top-order for this game.

3. Riyan Parag

A total of four teams showed interest in buying the services of Riyan Parag during the 2022 auction. Rajasthan managed to surpass them all and got Parag for INR 3.8 crores from his base price of INR 30 lakh. Rajasthan have the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin, which means they won’t require Parag to bowl in this game. Also, he is likely to bat in the lower middle-order and might not get many balls to showcase his skills. It would be better if you go ahead with some other all-rounders and avoid Parag for this game.
