We are less than 2 weeks away from the eagerly awaited IPL mega auction. The IPL mega auction will be a two-day affair and will take place on 12th and 13th February in Bangalore this year.

Needless to say, the teams would have put their thinking caps on ahead of the auction.  The IPL will also be a 10-team affair this year, as two new franchises, Ahmedabad and Lucknow have been added to the fray.

3. Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins was recently elevated as the skipper of the Australian Test side ahead of the Ashes series against England. And Cummins did a wonderful job as the captain, as the kangaroos thrashed England 4-0 in The Ashes under his stewardship.

Apart from that, Cummins has played international cricket for more than a decade. The right arm pacer has also played 37 IPL matches and has scalped 38 wickets at a strike rate of 21.95.

Cummins has shown his leadership capability in the Test arena and will be seen as a captaincy material in the IPL mega auction this year.
