During the mega auction, Rovman Powell had made big headlines while representing WI. Even in his recent sub-continent trip, the cricketer played some impressive T20 knocks. His power-hitting skill seemed to be tailor-made to fetch him an exciting IPL contract. As result, the DC franchise signed Powell for whopping INR 2.8 crore in the ongoing season.

In the initial games, the 28-year-old also played as a marquee overseas player of the team. But unfortunately, the IPL 2022 hasn’t found Powell firing with full cylinders. So far in his five appearances, the WI cricketer has only scored 31 runs at an average of 6.20. In general, the Delhi think-tank had bagged this Caribbean to carry the role of Marcus Stoinis.

Overall, despite getting a promotion in one of the games, Powell hasn’t made any mark. Maybe the batter has been a bit reckless when it comes to pasting his innings. All in all, with overseas names like Mitchell Marsh also being unavailable, Powell has to turn his blunders into big achievements.
