The months of March and April are some of the most awaited phases of the cricketing calendar. With the IPL set to kick off this month, the fans look forward to watching their favorite players representing their respective franchises. This time around, things are a bit different though.

Over the years Andrew Tye has been one of the well-known faces in the Australian domestic circuit. Although he has been a regular member of the limited-overs side, his economy has been average. But, most of the franchises in the IPL overlook the most important factor: the ability to take wickets.

In 27 IPL games, Tye has picked 40 wickets. Being an overseas bowler who gets limited chances, this is a stellar record. However, no team opted to take him to the side.

Talking about his international experience, Tye has picked 47 wickets in 32 T20I games. Apart from that, he is not the worst tailender in the game. Hence, he will be a great addition to a side in the IPL.
