IPL 2022: Best Indian XI from week six

The 15th edition of the India Premier League (IPL 2022) is nearing its end as most of the teams have played more than 80% of their matches along with the start of reverse fixtures.

This week saw some of the players continue their good form while some new young players showcased their talent by using the opportunity provided. This kind of performance from different players makes the team’s confidence boost as they take every step possible to qualify for the playoffs and perhaps clinch the IPL title.

Here is a look at the best Indian XI from the sixth week of IPL 2022:

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 2022 season hasn’t been the same as 2021 when he won the orange cap and played an essential role in CSK winning the tournament. Many expected Gaikwad to start strong but what followed was a string of low scores that hampered CSK’s momentum in IPL 2022.

This season saw CSK management and fans in disappointment as Gaikwad couldn’t repeat his heroics from IPL 2021. As a result, CSK struggled with their opening partnership. His absence in the runs column put pressure on Robin Uthappa, who has contributed decently to the top order.

However, this week saw Gaikwad regaining his form, with him going berserk against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. His fantastic innings of 99 off just 57 balls helped CSK post more than 200 and ultimately win the match. This is a good sign for the Super Kings franchise as Gaikwad can be dangerous in the latter half of the tournament.
