IPL 2022: Flop Indian XI of the 3rd week
11 Min Read
7. Ravindra Jadeja

The newly appointed CSK skipper, who is known for his sword-style celebration and big hits in the death overs, has missed the timing this year. Jadeja, who has always been a sweet timer of the ball, is trying to swing hard at everything and has swung the bat in the air in disappointment rather than the sword celebration.
The pressure of captainship is evident not only on Jadeja’s face but also in his gameplay, which has made him ultra-defensive. Averaging below 17 runs per innings, he has scored just 66 runs in five innings at a very unlike Jadeja’s strike rate of 117.86.
Neither has Jaddu the bowler come to the party yet. While leaking eight runs per over, Jadeja has managed to pick up just four wickets in five innings for CSK so far, with three of them coming in one inning.
