IPL 2022: KKR players indulge in a 'Classic Dodgeball challenge' during training session

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were back to winning ways in the previous game against Rajasthan Royals and still, they have hopes alive to make it to the playoffs with four games in hand in the league stages. The KKR official Twitter handle shared a video of the squad engaged in a ‘Classic Dodgeball challenge’ during the training session and the teams were split into two by the head coach Brendon McCullum.

The playing area was explained along with the boundary lines and the players were quite pumped up as well. As per the rules, a player will be eliminated if he gets hit on the body by the opponent with the ball and both teams started off with a bang. However, it came down to Andre Russell against Ajinkya Rahane and his teammate. Russell single-handedly managed to win the game for his team as he has been usually doing for the KKR side for a long time now.

At the end of the video, Russell was entertaining the fans with some good moves and noted about being a Dodgeball champ in a funny way. This will be a much-needed session for the KKR side who have fallen off the track after a good start to the season and have now finally found a way to be back to winning ways.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ opening woes have continued for a long time now and they are yet to settle in that department. Anukul Roy who made his IPL debut in the last game for KKR has shown good signs with the ball and he is likely to hold up the second spinner spot. However, the man of the moment for the KKR side has been Rinku Singh who has fought his way into the playing XI and straightaway has had an impact in the last two games. KKR will next play against the Lucknow Super Giants on the 7th of May at the MCA Stadium in Pune and it will be an important encounter for them.
