Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals will be facing each other in the 19th match of IPL 2022, to be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. KKR are on the top of the points table, winning three and losing one match. Delhi Capitals are in the bottom half, winning one and losing two. Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing their first match at Brabourne this season, while Delhi began their campaign with a win against MI on this ground.

Despite losing a tense low-scorer against RCB, Kolkata Knight Riders have three comfortable wins to boast of. Although the top-order that hadn’t performed up to the mark this season, the middle and lower order has tormented opposition bowlers. Pat Cummins 56*(15) and Andre Russell 70*(31) made sure KKR’s net run rate is more than +1 despite a defeat. Umesh Yadav leads the Purple Cap chart while Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy were also impressive for them. Their bowling depth has been increased with Pat Cummins who took two wickets to accompany the joint-fastest fifty on return.

After beginning with a win against MI, Delhi Capitals have lost two in a row. Despite having a destructive batting line-up, they couldn’t fire together and scored below par in their last two games. Prithvi Shaw’s aggressive knocks at the top lacked support from his partners. Their uncapped player Lalit Yadav at No.5 looks promising. Kuldeep Yadav was their top bowler, who was consistent in all three matches. KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer will be playing against his former side Delhi Capitals as he had played for them from 2015 to 2021.
