Rajasthan Royals continued their merry run in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season beating Punjab Kings by six wickets. They chased down 190 runs in the final over of the innings on the back of a half-century from Yashasvi Jaiswal and finishing skills of Shimron Hetmyer. With the ball, Yuzvendra Chahal was the star for the Royals as he picked up three wickets conceding only 28 runs in his four-over spell.

However, the game hogged the limelight for yet another bizarre incident when the Punjab Kings were batting who opted to do so after winning the toss. The incident happened in the 19th over of the innings when the Kings batters in the middle, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma, were looking to score as many runs as possible in the death overs.

In an attempt to do so, Livingstone stood outside the off-stump to face the bowler Prasidh Krishna. But the batter didn’t like the batter’s stance and he complained to the umpire. In the process, Livingstone was also seen standing way outside exposing all his stumps when he saw the bowler complaining about it. However, the umpire explained the rules to Krishna who eventually got ready to bowl at the batter and went round the wicket to deliver the over.

Here’s the video:

Prasidh Krishna dismissed Livingstone in the same over

There was more drama in the over as the umpire didn’t adjudge first ball wide. Liam Livingstone also churned out a six and a four off the bowler and seemed to be winning the battle with Prasidh Krishna. However, the latter came back stunningly on the fifth ball targetting the stumps. He castled Livingstone who exposed all his stumps in an attempt to time the ball on his legs but ended up missing it only to see the timber disturbed.

He scored a quickfire 22 off just 14 balls with 1 four and two sixes during his short stay in the middle. Krishna, on the other hand, didn’t have a great day conceding 48 runs in his four overs with only the England batter’s wicket to show.
