The Trinidadian is a street smart cricketer with both bat and ball and has made a name for himself mostly by playing franchise cricket. Dwayne Bravo is known for his hard-hitting abilities with the bat and his accurate bowling in the death overs. He played for the Mumbai Indians team for the first three seasons of the IPL.

Though the all-rounder showed some glimpses of his brilliance with the Mumbai team, the turning point in his career came in 2011 when he was picked by the Chennai Super Kings after being released by the Mumbai team. He was one of the best performers in 2012 as he scored 371 runs at an average of 46.38 and a staggering strike rate of around 140. He also picked up 15 wickets in the season as the Chennai Super Kings finished as the runners-up that season.

Since then there has been no looking back as he has become one of the vital cogs of Chennai’s success. When the Chennai team returned to the IPL after a two-year ban he was retained by the franchise in the auctions and he performed quite well in 2018 and helped the Chennai team win their third IPL trophy. He has been the X-factor for CSK in all these years and the Mumbai management definitely commit a blunder by not retaining him.
