The 2016 edition of IPL finally witnessed a nail-biting contest as Gujarat Lions (GL) sneaked in with a 3-wicket win against hosts Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Chasing 144 to win, Gujarat Lions started off decently but Mumbai Indians put themselves back in the game by picking up wickets regularly. Aaron Finch played a brilliant innings and stood there till the end for his side. Kulkarni hit a boundary when 8 runs were needed from 4 balls while Finch finished it off with a four on the last delivery.
