The IPL 9 is half way through and the race to make it to the playoffs is getting intense. Rising Pune Supergiants did no good to themselves by losing yet another game at home against the Mumbai Indians. Despite having 6 defeats this season, RPS still have managed to be at the 6th spot due to a good net run rate. The Mumbai Indians registered their 5th victory and have now raced to the second spot in the points table. Table toppers Gujarat Lions suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab, who are languishing at the bottom. The win, though, didn’t make much of a difference to either teams in the points table.
