Ireland will be hosting India in the second and final T20I of the two-match series on June 28, Tuesday, at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. The Irish players were unable to use the home advantage and lost the first match as India emerged victorious by seven wickets. Harry Tector built the innings brilliantly, but the other batters failed to capitalize on the momentum.

India, on the other hand, will be looking to win the series 2-0 in order to take the trophy home. Hardik Pandya was remarkable in his maiden stint as the Indian skipper and was able to put up a good show with the bat as well as with the ball, thereby returning to his all-rounder duties. Deepak Hooda, the star performer of the previous game, will be expected to repeat some similar heroics this time again.

Umran Malik received his maiden call-up in the rain-delayed first game but was given just one over after the contest was reduced to 12-overs-a-side as he conceded 14 runs in the one over. He is expected to get another chance in the upcoming game as the Indian selectors look out for the best candidates for the T20 World Cup.

While Dinesh Karthik and Ishan Kishan have left an impression with their heroics against South Africa, other players like Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, and Avesh Khan among others will have to work hard in order to make their way into the T20 World Cup squad because the competition, is clearly, very tough and it is going to be a challenging task for the selectors.

Here’s a look at how the weather will behave during the IRE vs IND clash:

Just like the first game, this one is also expected to face some delay due to the predicted rain showers. The first T20I started two hours and twenty minutes late as rain played the spoilsport. While the cricket fans are expecting to see a full-fledged 20-overs-a-side match in the upcoming game, rain is all but likely to play a part. The players will have to cope with the rain and the chilly weather. As per bbc.com, the temperature will range between 16-18 degrees Celsius whereas the humidity in Dublin is expected to be around 65-70% throughout the match duration.

If this game is shortened too, the captain winning the toss would look to chase in the second innings as the surface will support the batters more, and they will be able to utilize the advantage of the shorter boundaries.
