All the major stats and numbers recorded during the third and final T20I between Ireland and Windies:

A record knock from Hayley:

9 – Hayley Matthews smashed nine sixes during her unbeaten century; the joint-most in a Women’s T20I innings. Another Windies player, Deandra Dottin hit nine maximums during her unbeaten 112 against South Africa in the Women’s WT20 in 2010.

2 – Hayley Matthews is only the 2nd player from the Windies to score a century in Women’s T20I cricket. Deandra Dottin scored 112* against South Africa in the WT20 2010 and 112 against Sri Lanka in 2017. Matthews is now the 9th player to score a century and her ton is the 11th to be recorded in the Women’s T20I cricket.

The biggest stand:

162* – The unbeaten 162-run stand between Hayley Matthews and Chedean Nation is the 4th highest for any wicket in Women’s T20I cricket and the biggest for the 2nd wicket. The previous highest 2nd wicket stand in Women’s T20Is was 121 also involving Hayley and Deandra Dottin in the 2017 T20I against Sri Lanka.

256 – A total of 256 runs were scored for the 2nd wicket in this game; the most for a single wicket in Women’s T20I cricket. The 2018 Taunton T20I between New Zealand and South Africa aggregated 211 runs for the opening wicket; the only other instance of 200+ for a single wicket in a Women’s T20I.

In Men’s T20Is, there are two higher such instances; both recorded for the first wicket. This year’s T20I between Afghanistan and Ireland in Dehradun had 362 runs while the 2018 Australia-Zimbabwe T20I in Harare witnessed an aggregate of 265 runs. Both the games witnessed 200+ opening partnerships.

Records galore for the Windies:

162* – This 162-run partnership is also the highest for the Windies in the T20I format (Men’s and Women’s cricket). Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels added 152 against South Africa during the 2015 Johannesburg T20I also for the 2nd wicket. In Women’s cricket, the previous highest for the Caribbean team was 124 by Stacy-Ann King and Tremayne Smartt for the 3rd wicket in the 2010 Potchefstroom T20I against the Netherlands.

188/1 – The total of 188/1 by the Windies is their 2nd highest total in Women’s T20I cricket. The highest is 191/4 against the Netherlands during the 2010 T20I played in Potchefstroom.

A dry game in terms of wickets:

4 – The four wickets fell in this game are the fewest in a T20I game across Men’s and Women’s cricket. The 2012 Men’s T20I between Bangladesh and Windies in Dhaka witnessed the fall of five wickets which was the previous fewest ever.

In Women’s cricket, the previous fewest was seven wickets each in the India-Windies 2016 T20I held in Vijayawada and also during the 2018 Taunton T20I between New Zealand and South Africa.

3 – The three wickets lost by Ireland are the joint-fewest by any team in an unsuccessful chase in Women’s T20I cricket. (Playing full 20 overs) During the 2016 T20I in Vijayawada, India finished with 124/3 in their 20 overs chasing a target of 140 against the Windies.

Ireland records their best:

94 – The 94-run partnership between Mary Waldron and Kim Garth is now the highest stand for any wicket in T20Is for Ireland Women. The pair surpassed the 93-run stand for the 3rd wicket by Gaby Lewis and Laura Delany in the last year’s Dublin T20I against Bangladesh.

142 – Kim Garth’s 142 runs in this series are the most by any player for Ireland Women in a T20I series/tournament. She surpassed the 126 runs aggregated by Clare Shillington across five innings in the 2018 WT20 Qualifier.
