Irfan Pathan is impressed with Shah Rukh Khan's sportsman spirit

Last night it was a contest between two teams that won their opening encounter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. Chennai Super Kings who had defeated Mumbai Indians hosted Kolkata Knight Riders who were coming here on the back of a victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. At the end of it, CSK won the match but it was team owner Shah Rukh Khan’s display of sportsman spirit that impressed commentator, Irfan Pathan.
Pathan is a part of the Hindi commentary team for this IPL season with the official broadcasters and watched the game closely. Chennai returned to their fortress Chepauk after 1065 days and there was a sea of fans in yellow cheering for MS Dhoni & Co. Being asked to bat first KKR posted 203 runs on the back of Andre Russell’s herculean effort. It certainly looked to be an above par total, however, Sam Billings was yet to make his mark in the game. He walked in and showed amazing intent to stun the opposition and delight the crowd.
It was a close finish, CSK needed 17 from the last over and 4 from 2 as Ravindra Jadeja held the strike against Vinay Kumar. The penultimate delivery was in his arc and Jaddu launched it into the stands and the lions were roaring. KKR team owner Shah Rukh who was also present for their first match couldn’t believe they lost the close contest and was very upset.
Though the result didn’t go their way SRK the amazing human that he is, went up to Sakshi Dhoni, the better half of the Chennai skipper to congratulate her on their win.
Irfan having seen that was mighty impressed with SRK’s gesture and posted a tweet stating the same.
He wrote – “It was great to see when @iamsrk went to meet sakshidhoni after the game n congratulated her for the csk win. Sports is all abt that. U want to win everything but u have to know how to take that loss as well.isi liye to wo BAAZIGAR HAY #ipl”
