Ishant Sharma, perhaps Indian cricket’s most experienced pacer at the moment missed out on a contract in the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL), much to the surprise to many in the cricketing fraternity. While speculations regarding his contract for many of the cash-rich league’s franchises, the 30-year old took a decision that many did not expect him to make. Although he was touted to play county cricket, Ishant went ahead and began playing his cricket during the IPL season itself.

Playing for Sussex, the BCCI and the Indian team, in general, will be hoping that he does indeed acclimatize to the conditions as per the requirement. However, it is not all work as far as the lanky pacer is concerned. In fact, it would seem as though Ishant is doing his bit of tourism in a land famed for its sights.

Busy travelling in Brighton

A recent post on his Instagram account with wife Pratima Singh shows him and his wife flaunting their travel legs in Brighton. The opulent and quiet seaside resort town is a place where Ishant and his wife took the off days of the England county championships to be in. As a matter of fact, Pratima did her part as well by posting on her account: “Its not Paris!!! It’s Brighton @ishant.sharma29 #brighton #hove,” she captioned it.

A tough schedule ahead for Ishant

The last time the 30-year old pacer was in England, he got his name on the Lords’ Cricket Ground honours board following an impressive seven-wicket haul, something that led the Indians to what was an impressive victory. This time around, he will be under the gaze of a new captain and will be expected to lead the bowling unit as he has done in the past.
