An eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket, states Anushka Sharma

Anushka on Instagram shared the video of the teaser of the movie Chakda Xpress and her caption opened up a lot of positive things from the movie. She enlightened about the fact that the movie will be a huge boost to the minds of women to take up the sport for a profession and admitted how she herself got inspired by the story of Goswami’s journey.

“It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped her life and also women’s cricket,” Anushka Sharma’s Instagram caption read.

The biopic relating to MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Kapil Dev has already received huge appreciation from the viewers. The director of Chakda Xpress, Susanta Das is expected to bring a lot more inspiration to the people through the story of the Indian legend.
