Indians cannot afford to take their foot off the gas in the ongoing Test series against the visitors despite winning the series 2-0 as they are vying for a white-wash, a record that Virat Kohli & Co would be aiming to hit the jackpot in a bid to essay more points in the ICC Test Championship table.

Virat Kohli-led team created waves in the longest format of the game and much to their hard work, grit and determination to win games, they have earned 200 points from 4 wins (two against West Indies, two against South Africa) and no other team has even come close to this stellar three-figure mark.

India might not have produced an electrifying start against South Africa in the third Test match as they got early hic-cups, losing three wickets in the first session. Kagiso Rabada accounted for Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara and Anrich Nortje got the big wicket of Virat Kohli.

However, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane steadied the ship by cementing a 267-run liaison for the fourth wicket and both of them scored a hundred apiece during their productive partnership. But, Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 115 off Geroge Linde’s bowling as Klassen took a catch in his safe pair of hands. The Indian cricket fans from every nook and corner witnessed the sublime maiden double century from Rohit Sharma. After he fell prey to Kagiso Rabada‘s bowling on 212, it was all Ravindra Jadeja’s show.

Ravindra Jadeja steps in

Ravindra Jadeja continued his form from where he left off and scored a candid half-century to give India some good runs down the order. Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan who has been following Indian cricket in the thick of things was not really impressed with how things are going smoothly for India. He reckons that India matches are boring to watch.

He took to his official Twitter handle and wrote: “Once again @imjadeja delivers !!! Btw it will be the same game as last week & the week before …. #Boring #INDvsSA.”

This is not the first time that Vaughan was critical of Indian matches. During the second match, Vaughan launched a scathing attack on the pitch curators, stressed on the fact that the tracks are “boring” and are more in favour of the Indian batsmen.

“Test match cricket pitches in India are boring…The first 3/4 days the contest is far too in favour of the bat…needs more action for the bowler…My thought of the day …,” Vaughan.
