Jasprit Bumrah castles Faf du Plessis with a fantastic delivery

Jasprit Bumrah has been one of the finds for the Indian Cricket team over the last few years. His ability to nail the Yorkers at lively pace makes him a lethal proposition. In his short but successful career so far,he has come up with many an impressive spell. His credentials in the shorter forms of the game is on the rise with each passing game.

However, a few would have expected him to play in the tests against South Africa. Except the first innings performance at Cape Town, Bumrah has impressed one and all with his lively pace and uncertain bounce. In the ongoing third Test against South Africa at The Wanderers, he  picked up his first five-wicket haul.

The Magical delivery to get rid of AB

The dismissal of AB de Villiers with a lethal in-swinger would have made even Javagal Srinath proud. AB de Villiers  has been the pick of the batsmen in the series so far mainly because of his ability to counter attack amidst difficult conditions. However, Bumrah managed to beat his bat and disturb his stumps with a brilliant delivery.

AB de Villiers played an uncharacteristic scratchy knock of five  which came of thirty three deliveries. But, his wicket gave Indians the chance of crawling back into the game. The Wanderers pitch has been a treacherous one so far and scoring runs is going to be even more tough. South Africa managed to eke out a slim lead of seven runs. The fragility of the Indian batting line up will be a big worry for the Indians going into the penultimate innings of the match.

Whatever the result of the third test is, Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian fans would relish the dismissal of AB de Villiers. Indian fans have a slight glimmer of hope in the ongoing test match mainly  because of Bumrah’s heroics. The sight of Bumrah bowling out De Villiers with an absolute ripper of a delivery would forever be etched in the minds of everyone.
