Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah ties knot with Sanjana Ganesan

The Jasprit Bumrah –  Sanjana Ganesan wedding saga finally came to an end on Monday (March 15) as the pair officially tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa. Although the reports of the wedding were doing the rounds for quite some time, Bumrah and Sanjana had managed to keep the entire episode under the wraps by not giving any update on the same.

The reports started doing the rounds from last month when Bumrah was released by the team-management before the fourth Test against England.  At first, the rumours linked Bumrah with the South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran. However, those reports were quickly quashed by the actor’s mother.

As far as Bumrah was concerned, he kept the fans guessing before finally bringing the sage to an end on Monday. The India star took to Instagram to confirm the news of his wedding with Sanjana. He posted a couple of adorable pictures from the wedding on the social media platform with a sweet message. Sanjana also posted pictures from the wedding with the same caption.

“Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course,” wrote Jasprit Bumrah before adding: “Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.”

Sanjana and Bumrah might have managed to keep their relationship under covers for so long but she is a popular face among the fans thanks to her connection with cricket. She is a sports presenter and TV host. In the past, she has worked with Star Sports for the Indian Premier League (IPL). In addition to hosting cricket, she has hosted and presented shows of other sports too like badminton.

Jasprit Bumrah to return to action during IPL

Jasprit Bumrah is likely to return to action in the upcoming IPL 2021 which gets underway on April 9. Not a part of the T20I squad for the ongoing series against England, the right-arm pacer is unlikely to be named in the ODI squad too. In his absence, India won the fourth Test and are level in the five-match T20I series.
