Jayant was a part of the Delhi-based franchise till 2018, but later on, he was traded to Mumbai Indians ahead of the 12th season of the league. But, he didn’t get many chances while playing for MI in the previous season.
The chances of him getting released by Mumbai were very high in the recently concluded trade window for the upcoming season. But, it came as a surprising decision from the team management and was retained by MI.
In his short Test career of four Tests, he has grabbed as many as 11 wickets and amassed 228 runs with one brilliant century. He is still trying hard to get back into the national squad in the near future.
