AB De Villiers made a resounding comeback in the IPL after missing the first two games due to an injury. ‘Mr. 360’ as he is popularly known as, smashed 9 sixes in his brilliant 89 not out against Kings XI Punjab, which came off just 46 balls which gave something for the RCB bowlers to bowl at.

His contributions weren’t good enough to force a win for his side as Kings XI Punjab strode to victory in a canter winning the game by 8 wickets. De Villiers striking good form early in the tournament is a good sign for RCB and an ominous sign for the bowlers in the competition.

De Villiers does what nobody else can even think of. He plays the walking sweep shots to the fast bowlers which leave everyone in awe of him. The South African ODI captain does have a wide array of shots which also includes the ramp and the reverse ramp shots off fast bowlers.

Following his majestic display against Punjab, former Proteas fast bowler spoke highly of his fellow countryman, saying that he is the ‘most scariest player on the planet’.

“I did battle against some serious batters in my time. @ABdeVilliers17 is the scariest player on the planet I have ever seen. #breathtaking,” Donald has tweeted.

Former RCB teammate Jaydev Unadkat, who now plays for Rising Pune Supergiant, went a step ahead in his description of the star batsman. He heaped praises on De Villiers labeling him as a ‘toofani batsman’

“AB de Villiers is the one whom you can term as a ‘toofani batsman’ because he is someone who can destroy you even if you bowl well. There are others who are good as well,” Unadkat said in an exclusive conversation with ANI.

He indeed is a ‘toofani batsman’ who can tear apart any attack in the world. He has always been lethal against national teammate Dale Steyn’s bowling prompting the fast bowler to say that he dreads bowling to him.

It is just the beginning of things to come. There are still at least 11 games remaining in the season for RCB and De Villiers has promised a lot in the solitary appearance in the center.
