England captain Joe Root was found laughing, on Day 2, on the field after Ben Stokes had involved in a funny incident. There was an unwanted brown stain on his otherwise white pants. Ben Stokes did his best in hiding that with his jumper but later chuckled himself as he knew everybody is watching.

The captain was standing in the slip cordon with his deputy when he started laughing after seeing that brown stain. Stokes looked sheepish but was ‘caught in the act’. The Twitter community soon started to compare it with Gary Lineker’s 1990 incident when he accidentally pooed himself on the ground. The former English footballer tweeted “**** happens” and joined the party.

Meanwhile, England has taken an upper hand in the ongoing series finale of the first Test series after the long unwanted vacations. The competition in the series is an all-time high as mighty West Indians are giving an excellent fight to the English team. The entire cricket community is watching it with so much of interest and Stuart Broad’s handy half-century just added last of the spices. Caribbeans in return have already lost six wickets in their quest to get as near as possible of the decent score that England has put on.

The Stokes incident came after Tim Paine revealed that he had an accidental bowel incident just after clinching 2019 Ashes series. Iinterestingly it happened on the same Manchester ground and Stokes was also involved in that game.

“I was feeling a little bit ill and there were some big, dark clouds rolling in over the grandstand and we only had about seven overs left and obviously we needed that one wicket,” Paine said. “No drinks break left, umpires starting to talk to each other about (bad) light,” Australian captain confessed on the Keep it Real podcast, as quoted by news.com.au.

This is not the first time captain Joe Root was found giggling on the field on one of his teammates. A few years back, the right-hander was found chuckling when Alastair Cook, former English captain got hurt below the abdomen while both were standing in the slip cordon. Joe Root and slip cordon have quite a funny love story isn’t it?
