Jofra Archer made headlines during his stint in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year. The West Indies-born fast bowler showcased his exciting talent on Thursday as well by taking a sensational hat-trick for Sussex against Middlesex in a Vitality Blast South Group game at Lord’s in the ongoing T20 Blast and helped his team clinch the thrilling game.

The hosts needed 16 runs off the final over while chasing 169 runs for victory and Archer was handed over the ball by his skipper. The lanky fast bowler started the over well by conceding only two runs off the first couple of deliveries. But with Eoin Morgan playing on 90 at the other end gave the opposition an edge.

However, he delivered a low full toss which Morgan tried to heave out of the ground only to be caught by Chris Jordan at long-off. The 23-year-old then delivered a searing yorker to castle their wicket-keeper batsman John Simpson and the game was done and dusted there itself.

James Fuller faced the hat-trick ball and tried to play a scoop but was hit on the pads off a full toss in front of the timber as the Carribean player unfurled his moves in celebrations. He finished with 3 for 25 and was deservedly named the player of the match.

Last week, the youngster wrecked Glamorgan twice on a single night under the lights in County Championship, taking 4 for 15 and 4 for 31 to see the opponents getting shot out for 85 and 88, respectively.
