Jos Buttler and wife Louise become parents for the second time, blessed with baby girl

Veteran England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and his wife Louise welcomed their second child on Sunday (September 5). The couple has been blessed with another baby girl who has been named Maggie. Notably, the dasher had pulled out of the ongoing five-match Test series between England and India midway. While Buttler featured in the first three Test matches, he chose to withdraw his name from the final two games.

For the unversed, Margot is Buttler’s second child. In April 2019, the star cricketer became a father for the first time by welcoming his first daughter Georgia Rose. Meanwhile, the official Instagram page of Rajasthan Royals shared a couple of adorable pictures of the Buttler family. In one snap, Jos can be seen posing with the latest member of his family. The other picture was a family selfie.

Notably, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise addressed the new baby as Maggie in their post. 5th Sept: “Jos Baby is here! Welcome to the #RoyalsFamily, Maggie,” they wrote. Unsurprisingly, the comment section got flooded in no time as congratulatory wishes poured in from different parts.

Meanwhile, Buttler will be out of action for a while. Alongside the final two Test matches, the wicketkeeper has also pulled out of the second leg of IPL 2021. Hence, he’ll return to action in the high-voltage T20 World Cup. Notably, the veteran was far away from his best in the first three Tests against India. Hence, it will be interesting to see how he comes back in the global tournament.

Speaking of the Test series, England and India have been neck-to-neck so far. While the opening game ended in a draw, India registered a famous 151-run win in the second at the iconic Lord’s. Many really didn’t back the Three Lions to make an emphatic comeback. However, they stunned one and all by scripting an innings victory in the third game.

With the series being poised at 1-1, the winner of the ongoing fourth match would take an unassailable lead. Hence, both teams must leave no stones unturned to emerge victoriously at the Kennington Oval in London.
