Ever since the Indian captain Virat Kohli has married the love of his life and the actress Anushka Sharma, the relation between Cricket and Bollywood has become even more strong. Both the industries are interlinked for a long time now and with the emergence of the Indian Premier League (IPL) the involvement of the Bollywood stars in the game increased.
The example of the same was once again on the show when Katrina Kaif, another prominent Bollywood actress and Anushka’s close friend, asked the latter to put in a word with her husband for her World Cup selection as an all-rounder. Katrina is currently busy in shooting the movie ‘Bharat’ alongside the superstar Salman Khan and the fans are eagerly waiting for it to hit the theatres.

After the pack-up, Katrina Kaif and the crew decided to play cricket and the actress had a brilliant day with the willow as she played some superb strokes. She was delighted to play some strokes and posted the video of the same on her official Instagram handle. Interestingly, Katrina cheekily asked Anushka to ask her husband cricketer Virat Kohli about her batting and put a word for her.
Hilariously, she also qualified as a decent all-rounder without even taking a ball in the hand. “Pack up ke baad #bharat sets as the World Cup nears @anushkasharma perhaps u could put in a small word for me with the captain of the team some room for improvement in my swing, but overall not a bad all-rounder,” the caption of the video read.

Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma recently worked with Katrina in the movie Zero alongside another Shah Rukh Khan who had expressed to play Virat Kohli’s role on the silver screen ahead of the movie release. He had also recommended Katrina’s name then for Anushka’s role in the film.
