Team India opener Rohit Sharma scored his maiden overseas Test hundred in a splendid fashion on Day 3 of the fourth Test match. India was wrapped up at 191 runs in the first innings and then conceded a 99 runs lead. However, in the second innings, the Indian batters showed intent to dominate the proceedings.

KL Rahul played a valuable knock of 46 and post that Cheteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma held the fort of the side. The highlight of the day was the way Sharma reached his century. Batting at 94, he hit Moeen Ali over long-on for a six and brought up his much-awaited ton. The entire cricketing fraternity lavished praises on Sharma for his impressive knock. His IPL teammates also came forward to wish him for his majestic knock.

Rohit Sharma’s teammates at Mumbai Indians were extremely delighted by their captain’s innings. They spoke a few words to congratulate Sharma on his performance. The Mumbai Indians franchise shared a video on their official Twitter account wherein the members of the team are expressing their happiness on Rohit’s innings. Hardik Pandya, Parthiv Patel, Saurabh Tiwary, Aditya Tare, and Anmolpreet Singh extended their wishes to Sharma in the video.

Hardik Pandya lavished praises on Sharma and asserted his happiness. “Very special day, Ro’s hundred. As a teammate as my captain here, as a friend, I am very happy for Rohit to score a hundred. I actually dropped him a message as well a few days back that Ro you are going to do something very special and I am so glad that he’s got one,” Pandya said in the video.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently training in Abu Dhabi with his Mumbai Indians teammates ahead of the second leg of the IPL 2021. After the conclusion of the ongoing Test match series against England Rohit Sharma will join the team. Whereas other players are also expected to regroup with the side post their international commitments. The remainder of the IPL 2021 is all set to begin in the UAE from September 19, with Mumbai Indians facing their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in the first match.
