The Indian cricket team players took a day off from their IPL schedule to spend time for some charity work in Pune. Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma and Irfan Pathan are in the city as Royal Challengers Bangalore will play Rising Pune Supergiants on 22 April.

A day prior to the game, RCB skipper Virat Kohli visited the ‘Abhalmaya’ old-age home in Pune in an event organised by Sundan Lele in partnership with Kohli’s charity foundation. It was way back in 2013 when Virat Kohli had started the Virat Kohli foundation to aid the underprivileged of the society.

After visiting the oldage home and spending time there, Kohli posted a photo on his facebook handle and expressed his feelings on his visit.

“Taking some time out for Abhalmaya Old Age Home, Pune. A small act of compassion goes a long way. Whenever you get time to give back to the society, please do it with all heart. ‪#‎ViratKohliFoundation”

Kohli is in the peak of his career now and is plundering runs at will. He has continued his good form in the IPL too.

The players of Rising Pune Supergiants, Irfan Pathan, Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Rahane, visited the children at the KEM Hospital in Pune. The players interacted with the children at the hospital. They also played games with the kids and shared their experiences on and off the field. For the players, it was heartening to see the undying spirit of the kids. They encouraged the kids to continue fighting and never give up.

RCB will lock horns with RPS at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Friday.
